We're going to meet up in the "Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus" to have a look at the exhibition "Limitation of Life" by the contemporary artists Rosemarie Trockel and Thea Djordjadze.
 
 
Djordjadze was Trockel's student at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 1998 to 2001. Since then, the two artists have been in close contact regarding their art practice, which has resulted in several joint projects and exhibitions. In their exhibition at the Lenbachhaus, the artists have taken inspiration from reflecting on poems by Arthur Rimbaud and have addressed the conception of beauty, challenging established aesthetic conventions.
 
We're going to take this opportunity to have a close look at the works and exchange our views on individual and social perceptions regarding beauty.
 
Everyone is welcome to join in as no prior knowledge on the topic is necessary!
