What does a beekeeper actually do? How is honey made? And why are bees so important for our ecological balance and food production?

Several bee colonies live in the northern part of the Olympiapark. The apiary association “Bienen im Olymp” is offering a guided tour through the fascinating world of Munich’s honeybees. There will be lots to discover during the tour: the participants will learn about the insect’s life and habitat and will get to know all about its anatomy as well as about honey production and the immense importance for people and nature.
The tour will end up in the “Honigraum” [honeyroom] in the Olydorf.

The tour will be held in German but you are welcome to join even if you are not fluent.
