Nymphenburg Palace was created in the 17th and 18th century as summer residence of the Wittelsbach family; this is where the regent and his family came to escape their lordly duties and attend to their pleasures. To a large extent, these took place in the park behind the palace and in the small pleasure palaces hidden within.

During an entertaining walk through this magnificent Munich park, we'll get to know more about the leisure activities and interests of the different generations of electors. We're also going to look at some of the small park palaces and houses, which are spread out throughout the grounds.

The tour will be held in German and in cooperation with the Bayerische Schlösserverwaltung (Bavarian Administration of Palaces).
