Since 1868, the Technical University of Munich has been characterizing Maxvorstadt's museum and university district with its buildings created by significant architects such as Friedrich von Thiersch and works by artists such as Rupprecht Geiger.

This tour with Irene Meissner (Munich Architekturmuseum) will reveal the architectural history and artistic design of the TUM. Participating students will learn more about its history and context, for instance about the outrage at the naked "horse tamers" in 1930. We'll also discover hidden secrets, such as a gangway of Riem airport.

The tour will be held in German.

Date: Tuesday, 17th June 2025
Time: 5:00 p.m. to approx. 7:00 p.m.
Location: TUM main campus (Munich city centre); we'll send an email with the exact meeting point a few days up ahead.

Tour organizer: Dr.-Ing. Irene Meissner
Registration fee: 2 euros (with a student ID)
